GIL Jazz is an ever evolving collaboration of musicians/ friends that found its genesis right here at Transfer in 2019. Tonight, we celebrate the birthday of its spiritual leader, Joel Lehman, who'll be front and center on trumpet and vocals. Tonight he'll be joined by the incredible Dwayne Williams on bass, Sam Steffke on keys, Transfer House Band veteran Omar (Jeff Phillips) on drums, and Transfer's own (and next week's band leader) Artrell LeFlore on sax.
